1. Purpose and scope

This page explains how to delete your data from Lumen, also known as Personal Finance Notion ("the Service"), what gets deleted, how long it takes, and what may be retained. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

The Service is operated by MG, an independent developer based in Indonesia.

You can delete either specific records or your entire account.

2. Deleting individual records

You can delete individual items — transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, and wishlist entries — directly inside the app at any time. Removing a record in the app removes it from your account.

Note that the app also keeps a copy of your data on your device for offline use; see Section 6.

3. Deleting your entire account

To delete your whole account and all the data associated with it, send a request to:

Send the request from the email address registered to your account so we can verify it is you. If you cannot, we may ask you to verify your identity another way before proceeding. We do not charge for deletion requests.

4. What gets deleted

When your account deletion is processed, we remove the personal data associated with your account, including:

  • Your account and profile (email, hashed password or linked Google sign-in, settings, verification status).
  • All of your financial data: transactions, bank-account labels, categories, budgets, and wishlist items.
  • Your integration API keys and related metadata.
  • Your active sessions.

5. Timeline and retained data

  • We aim to process and complete account deletion requests within 30 days of verifying the request.
  • After deletion, residual copies may remain in our encrypted backups for a limited period until those backups rotate out (normally within 30 days), after which they are overwritten.
  • We may retain a minimal amount of information where we are required or permitted to do so by law, or where it is necessary to resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, or enforce our Terms of Service. Any such data is kept only as long as needed for that purpose.

Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Once your data is deleted it cannot be recovered, so please export anything you want to keep beforehand.

6. Data stored on your device

Because the Service is a Progressive Web App, a copy of your data is stored locally on your device (in browser storage / IndexedDB) so the app works offline. Deleting your account on our servers does not automatically erase this local copy. To remove it:

  • Clear site data for the Service in your browser settings, or
  • Uninstall the app if you installed it to your device, then clear its site data.

7. If you signed in with Google

Deleting your Lumen account removes your data from the Service. It does not affect your Google account. To stop the Service from accessing your Google sign-in details, you can also remove its access in your Google Account under Security → Third-party access.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above, and we will give more prominent notice for any material change.
